Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Recruiter plays a significant role in ensuring the attraction and hiring of the best possible talent to meet business needs by identifying external or internal candidates to fill vacant positions. This is achieved by building sourcing strategies, collaborating with recruiters and business partners for approved jobs. Engages in activities geared towards recruiting activities with local schools and/or community-based organizations and other recruitment events. May conduct debrief sessions with team and leaders to discuss candidate qualifications.

Other activities may include developing recruiting tools and techniques to assist United in meeting staffing and placement needs. Handles specific staffing vendors and negotiates and resolves job offers to most qualified candidate and teams with Compensation and HR to discuss offer details with managers.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 or more years HR experience including 3 years of dedicated recruiting experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service orientation
  • Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented operations environment
  • Excellent time management, follow-through, and ability to establish relationships with all levels of personnel required
  • Strategic and forward-thinking with demonstrable knowledge of sourcing strategies
  • Capable of prioritizing multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and delegate work as needed
  • Intermediate to highly skilled technical literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer and databases
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information required
  • Validated leadership ability to mentor and counsel recruiters on standard methodologies and recruiting processes
  • Ability to work on projects, in addition to recruiting workload
  • Ability to recruit hard-to-fill positions applying various sourcing methods
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Certification as a behavioral based interviewer preferred
  • Combination of external search and corporate staffing experience
  • Prior experience in developing and giving presentations
  • Experience using Taleo or other applicant tracking systems, and HRIS platforms (i.e. PeopleSoft)
