Job Description

We’re looking for a Pet Groomer to join our passionate team at East Riverside Veterinary Hospital!

The Pet Groomer is responsible for providing exceptional grooming care services to a variety of dogs and cats, as well as excellent customer service to our pet owners.

Groomer Duties and Responsibilities:

-Bathe and dry pets, including dogs and cats

-Trim or shave animal coats according to owner specifications

-Clip pet's nails as necessary

-Complete ear-cleaning services

-Perform anal sac expressions

-Brush out hair coats, including matted fur

-Inform owners of any health problems discovered during the grooming process

-Maintain a clean workspace and environment for pets

Preferred Qualifications:

-High school diploma or equivalent

-Prior grooming experience and/or certification

-Comfort working with various breeds of dogs and cats, including anxious or aggressive pets

-Ability to work with and lift dogs that weigh over 60 lbs.

-Customer service oriented

-Good attention to detail

-Demonstrated passion for animals

-Reliable team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Pet grooming: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)
