We are looking for a full-time Systems Engineer SME (Vehicle Assembly Subsystems) to join our team.
This position will be located in Huntsville, AL
What you’ll get to do:
Evaluate the planning of Horizontal Mate Tooling integration for verification that they are complete and ready to support the production flow. Complete all evaluations by the end of the period of performance and submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.
Assess Vehicle Assembly activities to develop schedule and cost savings for production planning and execution of the subsystems, considering any historical performance and lessons learned. Complete all assessments by the end of the period of performance and shall submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.
Perform Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) development for Vehicle Assembly subsystems. Track RIO actions to closure by the end of the period of performance and submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.
You’ll bring these qualifications:
Must have a Minimum of 15 years of experience
BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field, the degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited.
A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, a team mindset, and capable of coming up to speed quickly on assigned programs.
Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
Effective working in an environment with broad responsibilities and minimal oversight.
Experience with spacecraft command and control systems, simulators, software test benches, and other electrical ground support equipment.
Experience with spacecraft, space vehicles, and their related components, systems, and subsystems.
Excellent communication skills.
Attention to detail while appreciating the bigger picture of complex and ambitious projects.
These qualifications are a must-have
Travel is required 10-25% of the time.
