The Superintendent will be supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities through installation on a project or multiple projects. Monitors quality and safety in the field. Provides technical expertise and ensures work in place meets quality requirements of contract documents, applicable codes and Disney standards. Coordinates interface with contractors, operations, vendors and governmental agencies.


You will report to the General Superintendent

You Will:

  • Evaluates risk early in project and provides strategic thinking expertise during pre-construction
  • Identifies and monitors applicable points of coordination at multiple levels
  • Arbitrates on-site conflicts between contractors, designers, park partners
  • Leads project team including consultants, staff extensions, contractors etc.
  • Day-to-day decision making for activities within scope. Knows when to elevate issues requiring senior leadership direction
  • Communicates, collaborates, and partners, as applicable, with client, project contract administration, project manager, project architect, consultants, and other members of the team
  • Coordinate site security
  • Manages the safety program in close coordination with WDI/DPEP/Worldwide Safety
  • Reviews, approves and manages adherence of contractor QA/QC program
  • Understands project schedules, ability to plan ahead and anticipate constraints

You Will Have:

  • Minimum of 7 years outside field experience in applicable site development projects (attractions, commercial, residential, retail, or resort development), or minimum 5 years WDI project field experience relevant to the area
  • Strong organization and tracking skills
  • Collaboration and relationship building
  • Conflict Management
  • Expertise to manage large ("E Ticket") projects

Education

  • High school degree or equivalent
