Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled Sr. Performance Architect who will be responsible for leading a large strategic delivery with responsibility including end to end performance testing & engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Performance Requirement gathering - Responsible for gathering NFR by collaborating with various business team and architects. Analyze the performance requirements to assess the capacity requirement, performance, reliability, and scalability of the applications being evaluated for its compatibility and baseline
  • Performance test strategy and design – Responsible for creating performance test strategy based on the requirement provided. Should be able to design Load, Scalability, Reliability, Failover and Endurance tests to simulate projected production load. Develop performance test requirements to ensure critical software and infrastructure components are performance tested in peak load.
  • Performance Test execution, monitoring and analysis – Responsible for performance test execution, creating performance evaluation and analysis reports detailing the root cause for the performance bottlenecks along with tuning recommendations.
  • Performance Engineering - Involve in application source code profiling, analyzing the performance hotspots, thread dump and heap dumps. Provide recommendations for problematic scenarios to improve performance using inbuilt JVM tools and also using APM tools like dynaTrace, AppDynamics, etc.
  • Involve in workload modelling, analyzing, and tuning the performance characteristics of a system to plan infrastructure capacity for future releases and rollouts
  • Architecture - Involve in architecture review, code review, database design review, query optimization and provide effective solutions
  • Monitor end to end performance using the APM tools like dynaTrace and provide component level response times at each layer and provide tuning recommendations

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Graduate (Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors or related field)
  • Should have 12+ years experience in Non-Functional Requirement validation, performance test design, test execution and analysis support and providing recommendations to resolve performance/scalability issues
  • Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Should be able to work with customers independently
  • Should have working experience in architecture review, code review, database design review, query optimization.
  • Proficient with Neoload for performance test scripting and execution
  • Should have experience in capacity planning and provide infrastructure level recommendation.
  • Expert is application performance monitoring leveraging AppDynamics/Dynatrace

Preferred Skills/Qualification:

  • Experience with performance testing of cloud application. Cloud certification is preferred.
  • Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines
