Job Description
  • You are responsible for driving McDonald’s role in culture globally, by creating outstanding global campaigns and social activations that create lasting connections with our consumers around the globe.
  • We believe that social-first thinking and tonality is critical to the success of connecting with consumers. Hence, we’re looking for someone that knows social, gets the modern customer, not only how they consume social content and experiences, but also knows what’s important to them and why. The perfect candidate is familiar with these nuances and can translate that knowledge into fresh thinking that elevates our strategy, pushing the brand towards groundbreaking, culturally inspired ideas.
  • For every project, you will serve as a creative catalyst for strategies and tactics that inspire brand love and elevate the role of McDonald’s in culture globally, and partner with creative and social agency teams to develop breakthrough, best-in-class creative ideas.
  • You will also collaborate with the global McDonald’s markets, and cross-functional partners across Brand, Communications, Digital, Media, Supply Chain, Operations and Consumer Insights to align tactics to program and business goals.
  • You will lead the strategy and ongoing measurement and evaluation to apply learnings to future initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • You will oversee the strategy and creative for McDonald’s global campaigns. Craft strategies and content worth being talked about in the group chat, studied in the classrooms, copied by the industry, and ultimately driving the business.
  • Your main responsibilities will be:
    • To define the right strategy and creative angle to support
      • Our global campaigns
      • Our partnerships and activations across all aspects of culture (i.e., sports, entertainment, fashion, gaming, and pop culture industries)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required (Marketing, Communications, Business)
  • 5+ years of experience and subject matter expert
  • 2+ years of experience leading high performing cross-functional teams, projects, programs, either internally or through agency partners
  • Experience in international / global marketing is a plus.
  • Experience working on content development for big brand campaigns is a plus.
  • Creative content strategy experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, real-time social media environment.
  • Experienced leading and/or working on campaigns.
  • Paid & Earned media experience.
  • Strong written and verbal skills
