Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Java FSD with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable and maintainable code. Location : Chicago, IL and Forth Mill, SC or Remote

Responsibilities
- Convert monolith applications into microservices and scale out the services based on Memory & CPU Utilization.
- Create UI modules and integrate with backend service
- Participate in backlog grooming and raise new tasks for each cycle.
- Develop Java web-based applications using Java/J2EE, Spring IOC, Spring MVC, Spring AOP, Spring Security, Spring Boot, JDBC, Web Services & ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
- Develop Unit Tests Scenarios, Integration testing, Performance Testing & participate in verification of features to maintain a high-quality software code repository
- Updating web service features according to business needs or change of requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Quantitative Finance is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience.
- 5+ Years of development experience with Java/J2EE.
- Experience with Spring IOC, MVC, AOP, Security, Boot, JDBC, webservices and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
- 5 to 10 years of IT experience in application development and support.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $99,000.00 – 130,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
