Collins Aerospace in Richardson, TX is seeking an Assembly Operator for 1st Shift. This position will work on various aerospace products for military applications

Primary Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs electrical/electronic and mechanical assembly, modifications, fabrications, set-ups, installations, repair and rework after inspection or test.
• Works from drawings, sketches, procedures, blueprints, and written or oral instructions. Must have working knowledge of electrical/electronic assembly from components to final assembly. Must have working knowledge of mechanical assembly from parts layout and fabrication of a final assembly. Will be required to perform modifications and repair of errors made by employees in this classification during assembly or following rejection by inspection or test.
• May be required to maintain supplies and parts for assemblies and perform any paperwork required.
• May consult with higher graded assembly operators on assembly procedures/products or status of material. Must be familiar with workmanship standards.
• This role is 100% onsite.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

• Typically requires HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Through-hole soldering experience required.
• Surface Mount experience required.
