ASRC Federal is expanding our US Department of Agricultural portfolio and has opportunities nationwide. Experience with government contracting, specifically in "rural development" is strongly desired. ASRC Federal is seeking a strong Engineering Aide II to help support a USDA contract focusing on loans and grants. This ideal candidate will perform a variety of technical and administrative assignments requiring a knowledge of engineering, science, or other technical application.

Location: Remote

Clearance: Must be able to pass a government issued background check

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the engineering staff with technical and project support.
  • Perform a variety of technical and administrative assignments requiring a knowledge of engineering, science, or other technical application.
  • Duties will include collecting, storing, retrieving, or disseminating data, information or materials as required.
  • Will check calculations, conduct research, and compile summaries and reports.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science related field with one (1) year of relevant work experience
  • OR
  • Three (3) of relevant work experience with Associates degree; 5 years of relevant work experience with High School diploma/GED.
  • Must be able to pass a government issued background check.
  • Familiar with or have experience in using a variety of computer applications.
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Power Point, especially for jobs that require i) running and creating functions, pivot tables and charts; i) sorting, analyzing, and displaying data; or iii) creating and delivering presentations.
  • Attention to detail, especially when reviewing applications
  • Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Effective communication skills; strong written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualification:
  • Experience supporting government contracts or federal work experience
  • Experience supporting USDA and/or rural development
  • Be able to travel if necessary
