Under supervision of Café manager or FANS supervisor, the Retail Attendant is expected to perform a variety of duties for the set up and serving of food and supplies. Responsible for following correct cash handling procedures and staying within the over/under standard of .05% of sales. Responsible for cleaning and organization of assigned work areas.
This position requires a good working knowledge of the cash register, and Hospital policies and procedures regarding the handling of money. Duties include set up of the cafeteria, and/or gift/coffee shop, salad bar, grill and condiment station. The primary method to express or exchange ideas is by the spoken word. Most of the day is spent interacting with staff and visitors. Ability to conduct oneself in a mature and professional manner at all times. Ability to receive and respond to instructions and work harmoniously with hospital personnel. Ability to learn operation of equipment, simple food preparation tasks and customer relations. When requested, the retail attendant may be expected to perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
