The Role

The Operations Technician l should have a basic understanding of Transmission (Optical and Electrical, including Ethernet,)Switching and IP (routers/ or higher-layer) protocols.
The candidate should have a basic understanding of telecommunications and data services, and will be responsible for troubleshooting, managing and resolving network related service issues.

This role is a Hybrid position. You may be asked/required to come into the office for trainings, meetings, and other significant functions.

This position is a 4-day work week. Shift Days/Hours: Sunday-Thursday 2pm-1030pm CT

The Main Responsibilities

  • Works on relatively straightforward installation and/or maintenance assignments on network switching equipment.
  • Monitors network operations and resolves routine network monitoring problems.
  • Monitors network performance
  • Conducts routine monitoring equipment installation and maintenance activities
  • Resolves routine trouble tickets.

  • Associates degree or equivalent education and related experience
  • 2+ years of related experience
