We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate I to join the team of a top leader in the Life Science and Diagnostics Industry. As the newest addition to the growing team, your technical and rigorous approach will help in the execution of various research projects in the areas of molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, or biochemistry.
This role would suit a successful recent graduate or Research Associate that holds a BS or related degree in the life sciences, has experience with standard laboratory techniques, is familiar with following SOPs, and understands Good Laboratory Practices.

Your Contribution
Essential Functions
- This role supports the research function by assisting with basic research projects e.g., glassware and reagent needs for lab functions by processing glassware and other technical materials in a GLP-compliant method.
- The research projects could be in molecular biology, immunology, microbiology or biochemistry.
- Prepares and weighs samples for testing and analysis.
- May setup and conduct tests, assays, and other protocols under the direction of an R&D scientist.
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).
- Ensures all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean, sterile, and in proper working order.
- Responsible for calibration of instruments where needed, ordering and restocking lab supplies/chemicals. Washes and sterilizes glassware and other technical materials according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Processes, picks-up, and delivers lab glassware for end users.
- Prepares routine reagents/media, processes ad hoc reagent orders per SOPs. Completes routine laboratory procedures ensuring accuracy and validity of results and assists with general laboratory procedures, e.g., preparation of solvents, buffers, resins, reagent solutions, media prep, etc. involving mixing of chemicals.
- Conducts purchasing tasks to restock lab supplies, chemicals, and other consumables.
Your Accomplishments
Required Skills
- B.S. or related degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or similar fields.
- Some experience with standard molecular biology techniques.

Compensation $20.00-$24.00/hr – depending on experience
Contract Length 12-Months possibility of extending and/or permanent conversion
