Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Reconciliation Specialist to join our team. The Reconciliation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through the timely and precise reconciliation of accounts. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role requires proficiency in account reconciliation processes and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular and timely reconciliations of financial accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Compare and analyze financial documents, records, and reports to identify discrepancies and variances.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of reconciliation processes and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to improve reconciliation procedures and streamline workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Identify areas of improvement and recommend process enhancements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing relevant reconciliations and documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to reconciliation and accounting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in account reconciliation, preferably in a professional setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and general ledger systems.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
