CED, PA, a group behavioral health practice providing all professional psychiatric services and behavioral health leadership at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center (UM-SJMC) since 1996 is seeking a full-time psychiatrist to join the psychiatry leadership team initially as Medical Director of the Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization Service with growth opportunity in leadership.

How you’ll serve our patients
The specific services provided by the Department of Psychiatry include a 19 bed acute care psychiatric unit, a Partial Hospitalization Program which serves as a stepdown and an intermediate level of care, an Electroconvulsive Therapy Program, a Consultation-Liaison service providing general hospital consultation to the medical/surgical services, an ER psychiatric service with a 10 bed dedicated behavioral health ER space, and an outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic designed to support patients with comprehensive services to avoid repeating hospitalizations or excessive ER utilization.
Reporting to the Chief of Psychiatry, the Medical Director of the Inpatient/Partial Hospitalization Units will provide direct patient care as well as lead/supervise a multidisciplinary team consisting of 2 FT psychiatrist and a psychiatric nurse practitioner. The Medical Director will chair the Performance Improvement Committee of the Department. Additionally, the Medical Director will collaborate with the Chief of the UM-SJMC Hospitalist Service who provides somatic medical care to patients on the psychiatric unit.
