Our client a law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Labor & Employment Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with labor and employment laws, regulations, and practices, including but not limited to, wage and hour laws, discrimination laws, and employment contracts. The candidate should also be familiar with litigation procedures and have experience drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in preparing and filing legal documents related to labor and employment cases such as pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and court decisions.
  • Assist with the preparation of legal documents such as employment contracts, separation agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Maintain and organize case files, documents, and correspondence.
  • Draft and respond to correspondence with clients, opposing counsel, and other third parties.
  • Assist in the preparation of deposition and trial binders.
  • Assist in scheduling depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Provide support to attorneys during depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Assist with discovery responses, including drafting written responses and organizing document productions.
  • Conduct factual investigations and prepare witness interview summaries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a law firm, preferably in labor and employment law
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with electronic discovery is a plus
