CONSTRUCTION PROJECT COORDINATOR

Curbside Construction is seeking a Construction Coordinator who can assist with all aspects of construction and maintenance in new construction and remodeling projects. The Construction Project Coordinator will work alongside the Contractor and Project Manager to ensure subcontractor efficiency, maintain strong relationships, meet schedules, satisfy clients, and deliver high quality homes. The Coordinator will have a background and strong interest in construction, general building and carpentry.

The ideal candidate has advanced knowledge of the general methods of plumbing, electrical and mechanical components and is acquainted with various building materials, such as drywall, siding, flooring, concrete and various lumber types. The Coordinator is comfortable using a variety of tools and has the ability to troubleshoot and effectively resolve problems using them.

The right candidate will be a team player who is also able to work well alone; and has the ability to work and communicate well with individuals of different skill levels and from various backgrounds, personalities and nationalities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality general labor for completion of a variety of construction tasks such as roughs in, prep work, small framing tasks, fixture, millwork and hardware installations.
  • Installs and repairs outlets, fixtures, doors, cabinetry, appliances, etc.
  • Performs quality control checks of projects at various phases in the project life cycle
  • Maintains cleanliness of job sites by sweeping, cleaning, pulling trash etc.

Abilities

  • Must have basic knowledge of and comfort with simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, fractions, etc and methods of measurement, etc
  • Must be knowledgeable of and have the ability to safely operate hand and power tools
  • Must be able to complete a set of given tasks in a timely manner
  • Must be able to think critically to solve problems efficiently
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment in various conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and debris
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions, communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must be able to review and understand blueprints and drawings when necessary

Other Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver license and well maintained vehicle with ability to drive 90-100% of the time to job sites, vendors, etc. in the Greater Houston area
  • Be able to sit, stand and bend for multiple hours within the work day
  • Be able to climb ladders to help perform tasks at a high level
  • Be able to load/unload construction materials, up to 75 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Willingness to travel:

  • 100% (Required)
