Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
- The logistics and sales consultant is critical to any proposed household, commercial, or industrial move.
- They will be responsible for assessing the volume of proposed moves, estimating how long they will take, and identifying possible difficulties with the move.
- This individual will be responsible for managing customer relationships and delivering accurate quotes and information related to scheduled moves to our customers.
- They will also be responsible for coordinating storage logistics and selling warehouse space to customers when appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visit prospective clients to survey their move requirements and estimate the size, cost, and time needed to complete a move.
- Provide customers with quotes and information related to their prospective move and provide them with a detailed breakdown of services provided, estimated costs and time associated with the move.
- Establish the workflow for potential moves and collaborate with the operations team to determine what services need to be provided.
- Provide recommendations for clients and upsell services when the opportunity arises.
- Provide clients with updates on the progress of their move and address any customer concerns or questions related to their move.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with customers.
- Follow up on sales leads generated from marketing campaigns and search for sales opportunities.
- Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of the freight and trucking/moving industry, including surveying methods, pricing strategies, and the moving process.
- Knowledge of computers and software, including Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated skill in providing excellent customer service and building relationships with customers.
- Accurately estimate the volume of household and commercial moves.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years of customer service and/or sales experience
- 1 years of experience working as a relocation surveyor or equivalent experience.
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand and bend for extended periods of time
- Must be authorized to work in the US and be at least 18 years old
- Current resident of Oahu
