Key Qualifications

  • Degree in materials science/materials engineering or an equivalent field with a strong foundation knowledge on different types of materials (metals, polymers, composites).
  • Experience with program management, database, and related tools.
  • Familiarity or basic understanding of materials testing methods and equipment preferred including but not limited to microscopy, surface characterization, mechanical and electrical testing.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration, vendor management
  • Experience with Materials Information Organization and software tools.
  • Excellent presentation and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong passion for quality
  • A proven dedication to continuous self-improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Description

This position is within the newly formed Advanced Technology Group - Materials Engineering team, and you will collaborate with (Design, Materials and Electrical Engineering) and manufacturing teams, and drive the materials information projects to completion. You will manage the materials information system, control information population, identify gaps/concerns with the system and drive improvements. You will directly support teams located in multiple locations on key materials projects for PCB, FPC and PCBA materials. You will ensure the project schedule progress and share updates with the customers in a routine manner. An ideal candidate must possess the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously with competing priorities.

Education & Experience

Our engineering program managers have advanced degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymers Science, or an equivalent field, but if you’ve followed a different path to expertise in materials and program management, we still want to hear from you.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $113,500 and $207,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
