Concrete Finisher

A highly respected and growing industrial paving company in the Birmingham, AL area is urgently looking for a Concrete Finisher!

This Concrete Finisher will be responsible for industrial/ Heavy DOT work construction projects and will provide year round employment. Focusing on their team and client relationships this company prides themselves on repeat business and developing long lasting relationships.

Concrete Finisher Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• NEED to be comfortable traveling! We need road warriors that are not afraid to travel!
• Smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete, such as walks, sidewalks, roads or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools
• Performs the concrete placement and finish to include placing, finishing, curing, and cutting of concrete slabs
• Patching and repairing of concrete work, concrete restoration and concrete joint treatments
• Checks the concrete forms for appropriate depths and angles before the concrete is poured
• Operates light equipment such as ride-on power trowels, walk-behind power trowels, etc

Concrete Finisher Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience as a concrete finishing/ concrete laborer experience
• Proven ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results
• A strong skillset in troubleshooting
• Great communication skills with both clients, coworkers and project managers
• Ability to take initiative and seek responsibility as a leader
• Ability to foster positive relationships
