Job Description:

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Product Manager, the self-motivated database/Power BI developer will support cutting edge healthcare related software, database, and BI development. As part of an agile team, many opportunities exist on for exploring new technologies and gaining robust development skills:

  • Translate business requirements into a performance optimized database development
  • Evaluate data issues & ensure data integrity
  • Develop SQL scripts for operational, analytical reports
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and correct data and user related database errors
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Estimate development efforts accurately
  • Support data warehouse database in addition to OLTP systems
  • Work under an Agile development process
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively between different projects and teams


Required Experience and Qualification:

  • BE or BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred
  • Database development experience with a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Power BI Dimensional modeling experience
  • Creation of Paginated reports from Power BI Dimensional Models
  • Solid knowledge of Power BI from both from report creation and server perspectives
  • Knows how to implement RLS
  • Skilled in DAX
  • Skilled in troubleshooting slow/expensive Reports
  • Relational database experience
  • Experience with report development and writing queries
  • Good understanding of Relational database design, OLTP concepts
  • Knowledge of reporting and query tools, and practices
  • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment


Nice to haves:

  • Microsoft SQL Server experience
  • Knowledge with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB or other NoSQL db, Glue, AWS
  • Familiar with Tabular Modeler
  • Familiarity with DAX Studio
  • Familiar with the embedded license
  • Medicaid/Healthcare knowledge/experience
  • Git experience
