What your 8 hour shift in this role might involve at OC-Minneapolis:

The purpose of the Temporary Parts Assembler is to support the continuous operation of the Minneapolis facility during this busy season. This position is responsible for printing orders and assembling parts.

Here is a brief outline of this role…

• Safely navigating the shipping yard
• Understanding Owens Corning products
• Utilize SAP to enter and print information
• Pull bundles and build pallets
• Load and unload finished product and any related raw materials
• Miantain standard housekeeping of the warehouse and lift trucks
• Perform inventory counts
• Audit finalized partial pallets
• Maintaining a safe workplace

What makes a successful OC—Minneapolis team member:

Must haves include…

• High school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere with minimal direct supervision.

Would be terrific if you also had…

• Experience in manufacturing, but not required.
• Experience driving a forklift.
• Motivation to learn and advance as an Owens Corning employee.

There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:

• Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
• Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
• Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 40-pounds)
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
• Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
• Able to execute repetitive movements
