Job Description

We are recruiting a Yard Operative to join our Agriculture and Construction divisions, based at our depot in Marlborough.

Reporting to the Service Manager, this role will be responsible for a variety of yard duties.

Hours: Part-time and we are flexible on how these are worked

Hourly rate: Circa £11ph + T H WHITE Group benefits including employer contributory pension, share plan, death in service cover and more.

Key duties will include:

  • Ensuring the yard and premises are always kept in good working order and tidy
  • Grass cutting, clearing and light arborist work
  • Arrangement and good presentation of machinery
  • Loading and unloading of goods and equipment
  • Small DIY jobs around buildings and premises
  • Warehouse organisation and assisting with stock-takes
  • Machinery deliveries to support sales and the demo process as required
  • Van deliveries when required
  • Show and event support
  • Cleaning of machines and equipment
  • Providing feedback and reporting issues to management

The ideal applicant:

We are looking for an individual who:

  • is able to work unsupervised and under own initiative.
  • is a problem-solver.
  • is proactive, and able to identify and rectify issues.
  • is Health and Safety aware within the working environment, for self and others.
  • who has the ability to understand and identify environmental requirements.
  • Experience within farming/construction machinery or a related industry desirable.
  • Due to the depot’s rural location, access to own vehicle and Full UK Driving Licence preferrable.
