Occidental Veterinary Hospital in Occidental is an established, privately-owned small animal hospital with a growing clientele. We’re a friendly, passionate group who loves what we do, and it shows in how we approach our clients, patients, and each other. Our goal is to find an experienced vet tech or RVT to join our team. We’re looking for someone who has great people skills and a commitment to providing the best possible care and service to pets and their people. Reception experience is necessary as we cross-train positions.

About You

• Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
• Minimum of 2 years' experience
• Proficient in veterinary practice software
• Client-focused, team player,
• A desire to build long-term relationships with pet parents & the community
• Caring and professional
• Excellent communication skills & sense of humor
• Dedicated to the best in patient care
• Able to pass a drug and background check, able to lift 40 pounds
• Able to place IV catheters, monitor anesthesia, take radiographs, perform dental prophylaxis
• Able to calculate fluid rates and drug dosages
