We are looking for qualified ELA teachers for K- 12th students by teaching students‘ English Language Arts in the afternoon of Monday to Friday, and weekends.

Teachers who have experience with any writing contest, SAT/ACT prep, AP English would be given priority consideration.

The ideal candidates must have 8+ years of English teaching experience, and 3+ years of recent online teaching experience, who are familiar with using Zoom, Google classroom, and have a stable internet.

Responsibilities

• The duties and responsibilities of teachers vary depending on the age and abilities of their students
• Preparing lessons, units and projects to complete learning objectives
• Establishing and communicating clear objectives for lessons, units and projects
• Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students
• Creating, assigning and grading various assessments for students
• Working with students one-on-one when they need extra help or attention
• Track students' progress and report to parents
• Communicate with school administrator regularly to understand the students' background
• Maintain a stable working schedule

Requirements

• Proven experience as a qualified teacher
• Familiarity with using Zoom, Google Classroom, Google Calendar, Online tools
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as mediator between children
• Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
• BA in education or relevant field
• Stable internet speed for daily online teaching
• Ensure teaching background is clean and not distracting
• Professional appearance while in teaching
• Available on weekends and / or on weekends.

Compensation

Pay is $20 and up per hour. The rate includes preparation time and homework comments.
