JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Beaver seeks an innovative Registered Nurse as key team member to provide primary health and wellness needs for a comprehensive residential/commuter campus. The position coordinates the health center and reports to the Director of Student Affairs & Engagement. The RN will have the following duties and responsibilities, but may not be limited to:
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student health and wellness utilizing best practices to guide operations and services. As a member of the Student Affairs team, collaborate with staff and offices to develop and sponsor health and wellness educational programs for the campus community. In addition, the nurse serves on campus committees, and represents health services at campus events.
Accredited bachelor’s degree in nursing (or equivalent) plus four years of effective experience in college health nursing, emergency care, public health nursing, school health nursing, occupational health nursing, or related area, including experience in health education and health promotion programs. Must have licensure as registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This is an 83.3% full-time equivalency (FTE) ten month (August 1 – May 31) per year, full-time, standing appointment. This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
