Job Description

Ryan Companies has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior SQL Database Administrator! This position is responsible for tactical and strategic analysis, development, support, and design of Ryan's internal SQL databases and integrations using SSIS and reporting capabilities.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Production level support, maintenance, security, and growth planning of Microsoft SQL databases
  • Functional and technical delivery of database projects and integration design, develop, delivery, and support using SSIS
  • Participate in prototypes, customer requirements, report redesign, and creation of functional specifications into front-end implementations primarily through SSRS
  • Consult with internal IT resources and business end users to perform a variety of internal design, build, and deployment tasks including ad hoc complex queries and data cleansing activities
  • Advocate for quality design and help gather and communicate client feedback to the rest of the team

To be successful in this role, a 2-year technical degree in information science, SQL and SSRS development, or related field is required. You must have at least 10 years of relevant experience as a SQL Database Administrator including database design, troubleshooting, architecture, modeling, and support of multi-server database environments. A strong knowledge of common front-end technologies, especially PowerBI, SSRS, and Excel used within a business setting is required.

  • Ability to initiate, organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple and complex projects
  • Strong communication skills and can transform complex technical language into easily understood concepts
