As a systems security and network security engineer, you will identify the tools and strategies needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of digital solutions with cyber security baked in from the start, that will protect systems important to national security and our nation's infrastructure.

On our team, you’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of cyber security, networking, and cloud technologies. You’ll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your knowledge and experience in the RMF process, and tools like Xacta, you'll determine and document the appropriate security controls and policies applicable to the system you are developing and define secure solution architectures to meet those security requirements. You will help define the security architecture for the system and develop architecture diagrams and engineering deliverables following DoDAF and FEDRAMP standards. You will work with a robust technology stack supporting a cross-domain solution, including AWS cloud technologies, containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, SaltStack, VMWare, and cross-domain technologies. You will work on a team following an Agile lifecycle methodology. You'll collaborate with other engineers and software developers to develop and deploy an enterprise cross-domain solution. In this role, you’ll help to develop an enterprise cybersecurity system that supports national missions. What You’ll Work On:

• Develop relationships with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
• Define and implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas; recommend and design solutions to mitigate risks in system architectures.

You Have:

• 7+ years of experience in systems security engineering on programs that encompass systems security architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test, and transition into operations
• 4+ years of experience with working the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for systems being delivered to U.S. government organizations, including preparing system security documentation, verifying security controls, translating security policies and security controls into system architecture components, system and software implementation requirements, and system and software configurations
• 4+ years of experience with assessing security vulnerabilities in software and systems, recommending appropriate mitigations, performing periodic vulnerability scans, implementing vulnerability mitigations, validating and reporting on vulnerability monitoring, mitigations, and policy compliance
• 2+ years of experience with leading systems engineering teams in completing engineering deliverables and estimating time and resources for systems engineering tasks
• 1+ years of experience with using Atlassian Suite, including Jira, Confluence or Gliffy
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems and 7+ years of experience in systems security engineering or cyber security, or 12+ years of experience in systems security engineering or cyber security in lieu of a degree
• DoD 8570 compliance - IAT Level II Certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experience in working with Firewalls, secure guards, or cross-domain technology platforms
• Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience working on teams and projects using Agile lifecycle methodology

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
