Easterseals New York, a Fedcap program, is currently hiring for a full-time School Nursing Attendant / Nurse to provide direction for the healthcare and medical resources offered to those we serve in the Bronx, NY area. This position earns a competitive wage.

DAY-TO-DAY

As a School Nursing Attendant / Nurse, you oversee the wellness of our school's children and help to coordinate and deliver nursing care and related healthcare services for your assigned program. Working closely with staff, you train, supervise, participate in staff meetings, and act as a nursing consultant as needed. You direct our healthcare team in providing personalized care to students.

Ensuring proper documentation, you carefully document medications administered, treatments, and assessments. As needed, you prepare and provide incident reports. Conscientiously, you ensure that all charts and other documentation are accurate and up to date. You also maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with clients. You feel great about the positive impact you are making in the lives of students and their families!

  • Current New York LPN license or New York RN license
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Associate degree or higher in nursing (Bachelor is preferred)
  • 1 year or more of experience with children
