Full Time Sales Representative for Wedding Planning Company

Black Tie Optional is a wedding planning and coordination company serving Phoenix, Arizona with occasional travel throughout the state and beyond. We specialize in off-the-beaten-path weddings that embrace the natural beauty of the Arizona desert. Our weddings are fun, unexpected, and thoughtfully planned to a tee.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-starting, and detail-oriented person who’s eager to grow with a scaling company. This person will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining our referral pipelines, and helping them grow. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for the wedding industry, and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business by identifying and prospecting potential clients through various channels such as online research, industry events, and referrals.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries from prospective clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients to understand their wedding planning needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts for clients and follow up to secure signed agreements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in our CRM system.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs as set by the management team.
  • Collaborate with the wedding planning team to ensure smooth handover of clients from the sales process to the planning process.
  • Continuously update knowledge of wedding trends and industry developments to provide informed recommendations to clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a sales role, preferably in the wedding or events industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • A passion for the wedding industry and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.

Requirements:

  • Occasional weekends
  • Must have your own form of reliable transportation
  • Must have your own equipment (phone and computer/tablet) to perform sales tasks
  • The position can be primarily remote work, however, in-person will be needed in order to learn the role, as well as on event/conference days
