Growing company in search of a Store Manager in the Beaumont/Jefferson county area to manage a retail store engaged in receiving, processing and selling merchandise to derive a positive net revenue. Responsible for all activities involved in the daily operation of the store. Directly supervises all retail store employees to include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and a minimum of two years related employment, including at least one year supervisory experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages. Ability to accurately count money.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to priority and organize.
