Job Description

The Regional Maintenance Manager for Dollar Tree provides direction for the maintenance teams within and provides directional maintenance support to the operations partners for multiple sites across the organization’s distribution network. This role will be responsible for providing support for maintenance budget development and capital planning for the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar distribution network in the assigned region. The Regional Maintenance Manager will monitor, audit and enforce maintenance execution and safe work practices in the distribution centers while driving for utilization of maintenance best practices. This role will require extensive travel throughout the assigned region.

Essential Job Functions:
Provide support for the maintenance budget development and execution, and capital planning.
Develop a capital and expense plan for each building to reduce the cost of ownership.
Manage vendor support and equipment relationships and leverage Dollar Tree’s network size to maximize economies of scale.
Develop and manage maintenance budget and contract documents including Request for Proposals (RFPs), change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing
Monitor, audit and enforce maintenance execution and safe work practice
Institute and audit training drills across the network
Directly support Facilities Maintenance Managers in troubleshooting PLC/PC programs, electrical and mechanical systems and controls when required.
Drive Maintenance Best Practices including: Innovating, documenting, improving work methods, standardizing, providing a safe work environment and requiring safe work practices, training, commissioning equipment, collecting, measuring, and analyzing key performance indicators to improve processes and improve Dollar Tree’s customers’ experience
Lead, develop, coach and mentor direct reporting team of maintenance analysts.
Provide DC General Managers with visibility of maintenance performance so that they can better understand their buildings performance to lead, mentor, and manage facility Maintenance Managers.
Mentor and coach DC based facilities Maintenance Mangers in the expansion and continuous improvement of Dollar Tree’s distribution Network
Develop talent within own team and maintenance teams to expand their careers through development gap identification and training.
Leveraging the entire maintenance team in each DC for the benefit of the Dollar Tree network
Support the DC Facilities maintenance team in talent acquisition process to include: recruiting, interviewing, and hiring talent.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

Bachelor Degree plus a minimum of 3 years, or 5+ years of facilities management experience
At least 5 years of experience managing employees and their performance
Experience managing a maintenance program within an organization
Experience in distribution center, manufacturing or industrial maintenance operations
Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment) OR 3 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment)
PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience
Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems
Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial controls devices/networking
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing, relating technical issues to business leadership
Customer service oriented
Availability to travel up to 85%

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Previous corporate and/or regional facilities roles leading multiple sites and managing managers
Experience in material handling equipment and large, complex integrated systems maintenance with strong statistical analysis skills
CMRP, CMRT, CRP, FMP, CFM, SFP, MRC, Reliability Engineer certificates
Experience in robotics and emerging technologies
Experience in driving 100% uptime
Experience leading change in a remote environment
