Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The National Security & Space Sector of SAIC is seeking a QA Tester/Journeyman to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Job Description

• Participate in requirements gathering sessions
• Create Automation and/ or Manual Test Plans for application testing
• Create Manual Test Cases for Functional testing, and possible Automation Test Scripts for functional testing including the identification, collection and/or creation of test data
• Execute frontend, and backend tests
• Maintain quality testing standards and procedures
• Assist in the planning, creation and control of the test environment(s)
• Participate in structured walk-throughs, and peer reviews
• Participate in the coordination, and execution of release testing
• Setup automation test frameworks
• Determine and meet time estimates, and schedules for testing efforts
• Proven ability to work independently, and as a team member
• Ability to solve problems to complex business processes

Qualifications

It is required that the QA Tester/Journeyman have the following qualifications:

• BA/BS 3+ years' extensive experience developing automation tests and working with defect tracking tools such as ALM/JIRA/ServiceNow

• Active Secret clearance

• Strong understanding of the full lifecycle (SDLC) with Agile/Scrum experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (ability to translate between business and technical concepts)
• Proven ability to clearly communicate requirements to other development team members
• Strong use and understanding of ServiceNow modules
• Strong understanding of different types of Manual and Automated Testing methodologies (unit, system integration, regression, compatibility & performance etc.) and an ability to plan/execute accordingly

Desired qualifications

• 2+ years' experience writing intermediate level SQL queries
• 3+ years' experience working with Java development/principles
• Experience working with XML
• Proven ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical * Proven ability to identify, define, and document business requirements (functional and system)
• Proven ability to participate in requirements analysis, validation and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable
• Proven ability to track, and fully document changes to business requirements (both functional and system)
• Manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
