Medline Industries has an immediate opening for a Product Support Manager in our Laboratory Division! This role is on a hybrid work schedule (Tuesday/Thursday in office) at our corporate headquarters in Northfield, IL. The Product Support Manager will oversee the team responsible for:
- Answering sales rep and customer questions (pricing and/or product specifications) about the full portfolio products
- Providing follow-up with the reps to understand what business has been closed and what additional information/support is needed
- Cross-referencing account item files
- Loading all items onto Medline.com with an accurate product family, copy, and image
This person will also act as point person for communication with Lab sales and divisional leadership. The Product Support Supervisor will support both domestic and international product support team members. The responsibilities of the role include:
- Serving as the first-level of management, accountable for the performance and outcomes of the team. Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities; delivering performance management processes; building and maintaining employee morale and motivation; ensuring the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
- Act as the point person for communication with Medline’s lab leadership (divisional and sales).
- Summarize the bid opportunities by detailing the percent crossed, percent Medline-brand, projected customer savings and Medline margin detail in an organized cover sheet.
- Model the potential rebate the customer may receive under basic scenarios.
- Track the cross-reference files that are in progress to ensure they are being prioritized correctly and completed accurately and on-time. Maintain master list of cross references for quick reference.
- Assess gaps in the product offerings and work with the relevant product manager and/or sourcing to set-up new vendors and items. Work with sales leadership to prioritize gap items.
- Validate the pricing of items based on known competitive pricing, average market pricing and/or GPO pricing.
- Work with product managers across multiple divisions to receive cross and price information in a timely manner.
- Gather GPO contract pricing for new opportunities.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant Work Experience
- At least 4 years as a Product Support Specialist or similar role in healthcare organization.
Additional
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and/or training staff.
- Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
