The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career & Technical Education and Student Transition (OCTE), Trailblazer Early College & Career Academy/Harrodsburg Area Technology Center in Harrodsburg, KY has an opening for a Kentucky Tech Center Principal.
Salary dependent upon qualifications, training, and experience.
This position is advertised as part of KRS Chapter 156 OCTE for employment through the Office of Career and Technical Education. It is not subject to the provisions of KRS 18A for classified or unclassified service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide overall management and supervision of personnel, programs, and curriculum development in the center.
- Develop annual and long-range plans for vocational education programs to meet the needs of business and industry.
- Coordinate operations, implementation and evaluation of the secondary, post-secondary, and adult upgrade programs in the center.
- Provide guidance to teachers in curriculum development, instruction, preparation of records, professional development, and other matters.
- Serve as a liaison between Kentucky Tech, local school districts and the business community.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
