YOUR LIFE AS A PHYSICAL THERAPY - REHABILITATION SPECIALIST
This part-time physical therapist position in human services works during the day.
As a Physical Therapy - Rehabilitation Specialist in human services, you're responsible for providing quality support and therapy services for children and their families. You participate in team evaluations to determine each client's developmental status for initial or ongoing treatment. Working alongside other team members and families, you develop individual education plans (IEPs) and individualized family service plans (IFSPs) as well as implement support and services to children within their natural settings. You provide a variety of physical therapy services and take notes addressing the child's strengths, needs, and progress.
Additionally, you complete daily tasks, such as treatment notes and attendance records. You also manage recordkeeping and aid in maintaining our equipment and workspace. As assigned, you attend staff meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as well as assist with staff development and training. Staying up to date on policies and procedures, you help with program planning and development to ensure we're always compliant. You enjoy having a job that uses your rehabilitation expertise to help clients, which is why you thrive in this position with our nonprofit!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Three years of physical therapy experience working with children is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. If you can meet these requirements and perform this rehabilitation job as described above, we would be happy to have you as part of our team as a physical therapist!
