Job Summary:

The Employee Onboarding Specialist uses knowledge and skills obtained through experience and training to assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing support of employee onboarding and offboarding procedures, projects, and solutions for Puzzle HR clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides customized support and guidance to new hires and clients through the employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Creates effective and informational employee communications.
  • Processes all employee onboarding, per local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Enters necessary data into HRIS, ATS, Payroll, and Benefits platforms.
  • Optimizes client onboarding procedures and workflows.
  • Works in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders in order to provide client employees with comprehensive onboarding and offboarding support.
  • Welcomes new employees and delivers new hire orientation, including introductions to important team members, company information, resources, etc. in a presentation format.
  • Distributes manuals, passwords and guidelines, as dictated by client needs.
  • Addresses and/or redirects new hire and client queries.
  • Creates SOPs for processes and procedures related to employee onboarding service and support.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skilled in:

  • Delivering clear and effective presentations.
  • Navigating a variety of HR systems and platforms such as: payroll, benefits, applicant tracking systems, HRIS.
  • Basic understanding of HR best practices.
  • Written and oral communication.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Organizing, managing, and tracking multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of three (3) years in related human resources experience.
  • PHR/SHRM Certification preferred, but not required.
