Quality Assurance Nurse (RN) – Skilled Nursing Center

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze data to identify trends and patterns related to quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
  • Create and present QA reports to the DNS for review.
  • Collaborate with nursing management team to identify opportunities for performance improvement related to quality patient care and regulatory compliance
  • Collect infection tracking sheets from unit managers and complete monthly infection control surveillance report, identify trends; review with clinical team and submit report for lab services to do a clinical analysis.
  • Present monthly at safety meeting and quarterly report meeting for QA committee.
  • Track and report vaccine compliance for staff and residents, ie: Flu and Pneumonia.
  • Review and analyze incident/accident data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist DNS with investigations, ie: grievances, allegations of abuse.
  • Review clinical process related to acute transfers, identify areas for improvement and collaborate with nursing management team to promote continued use of the INTERACT program to reduce acute transfers.
  • Track and analyze medication errors to identify educational needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist DNS in creation and implementation of plans of correction as required by all regulatory agencies.
  • Assist DNS with research, creation, implementation and assessment of policies and procedures
  • Participates in the implementation of the ABIQIS QA program as directed by the DNS.
  • Other duties as assigned by the DNS.

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in the state
  • Experience in QAPI with analytical preferred and organizational skills are a must
  • Experience and/or special interest working with older adults preferred
  • Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members
  • In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases

Maplewood Senior Living conducts pre-employment screening including background check, drug screening, and reference checks.

Due to Department of Public Health requirements, all candidates will be required to show valid proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 (1st vaccine, 2nd vaccine, and booster) before commencing work, unless they receive an approved exemption from Maplewood. Those who do not obtain full vaccination and booster within that time frame, without an approved exemption, will be terminated.
