Job Description

The HRBP performs Human Resources related duties in the field of store operations. Carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, recruiting, and assist employees with HR service related questions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide a full range of HRBP Services including; employee relations, investigations, recruiting, performance management, and staffing initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support in administering human resources policies and procedures to ensure that employees receive fair and reasonable treatment to establish a supportive work environment and to avoid potential legal liabilities.
  • Identify staffing requirements based on organizational goals and objectives and coordinates to ensure the proper process is utilized to secure top talent.
  • Partner with store director to ensure proper placement and on-boarding of new employees.
  • Work on a variety of special projects and implementation of business unit and HR policies and programs.
  • Ensure that all employee changes (promotions, merit reviews, transfers, LOA’s and terminations) are accurate and processed in a timely manner by appropriate business unit staff.
  • Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all issues of significance and takes prompt corrective action as appropriate.
  • Work with Managers and Corporate Office to ensure locations receive communications, guidance, and support with regard to implementing and maintaining company practices and procedures.
  • Coordinates with store management on employee committee meetings and recognition programs
  • Coordinates New hire orientation for new employees when needed
  • Conducts presentations as needed from information and training provided by Corporate and/or Group in a positive and professional manner
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested

  • Bilingual (Spanish) required
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent related field experience. HR certification a plus
  • This position requires 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Must have diverse experience and proficiency in a wide number of functions within HR
  • Experience working with all levels of the organization with a proven ability to interface well with all leadership levels.
  • Proven experience working in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Team player with a strong client service orientation
  • Proven ability to take initiative and exercise excellent judgment
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email and internet.
  • Knowledge of ADP and Kronos a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, learn, problem solve, prioritize, set and attain goals, and work independently.

  • Requires considerable driving time and travel up to 50% to adjacent states
  • May require extensive hours to meet demands and deadlines
