Description:Perform as functional manager and provide technical leadership for a group of engineers involved in the development, design and production of world class microwave analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits and subsystems including Transmit Receive (T/R) modules, frequency converters, digital frequency synthesis and detectors. Technical responsibilities of this organization include integration of multi-chip modules and subsystems with antenna and signal processing systems. The selected candidate will provide technical leadership of the creative and programmatic aspects of the work assigned to subordinates. The individual will plan, direct, review and coordinate preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met. The individual will ensure proper preparation of specifications, evaluation of vendors, and analysis of test reports. The individual will work with EDA tool vendors to ensure the continued tool support that's compliant with LM regulations.

Monitor work output and redirect course of action as needed to achieve work effectiveness and maintain program schedules. Ensures engineering products and services provided to business area programs are of the highest quality, satisfying cost, schedule and technical requirements. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Individual will focus on enhancing program execution by leveraging proven processes, sharing lessons learned and adopting best practices from other parts of the business or industry. Individual will be a mentor to his/her group in all aspects relating to maintaining discipline to procedures, incorporation of new beneficial tools and methodologies and encouraging self-motivation, innovation and empowerment. Individual will be responsible for ensuring process adherence as well as identification and coordination of improvement opportunities within the group.
Basic Qualifications:
  • BSEE Degree or equivalent relevant work experience. Experience in the development of Microwave Integrated Circuits and packaging.
  • Broad knowledge of available open-technology and suppliers for custom Microwave Integrated Circuits.
  • Detailed understanding of hardware development process.
  • Technical understanding of phased array antenna concepts of operation for radar and communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multiple engineering inputs in an Integrated Process Team.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage development projects to meet objectives.
  • Experience in proposal generation and business development support.
  • Unquestionable ethics a must.
  • Mentoring skills and proven ability to develop others.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a Secret Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
