ETL Developer Summary:

We are looking for candidates with expertise in data base and ETL development and integrations, data cleansing, blending, analysis, and reporting. Their duties include collaborating with other data professionals to extract data supporting creation of Tableau reports/visualizations and dashboards based on their findings, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine business initiatives’ success.

The responsibilities of the database developer include creating technical solutions, creating data storage tools, and conducting tests. This will include helping non-technical employees interpret data and designing visualizations.

To be successful as a ETL Developer, you should have a broad understanding of the business technology landscape, the ability to design reports, and dashboards.

Location: Greater Dallas-Fort Worth Area

Salaried Position: Yes

Salary Range: $90,000-$95,000 annually

Travel: Minimal (10% or less), based on current project requirements as needed

ETL Developer Responsibilities:

· Experience in database design and modeling for data warehouse and business intelligence applications, including relational database structures and normal forms.

· Knowledge and understanding of the software development life cycle.

· Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.

· Gather requirements and business process knowledge in order to transform the data in a way that’s geared towards the needs of end users.

· Maintain and improve already existing processes.

· Ensure that the data architecture is scalable and maintainable.

· Work with the business in designing and delivering accurate, high-quality data.

· Experience working with Cloud Hosted Environments preferred (AWS SQL Server RDS, AWS S3 File Storage).

· Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users and propose adequate solutions.

· Experience with software document and version control.

ETL Developer Requirements:

· SQL knowledge (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.) as well as an understanding of database structure.

· Knowledge of data modeling principles.

· Organizational skills: time management and planning.

· 3+ years’ experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

· Hands on experience consuming Restful APIs as a data source.

· Experience working with Cloud Hosted Infrastructure (AWS SQL Server RDS, AWS S3 File Storage)

· High attention to detail.
