The ideal candidate will work full time and travel regularly to oversee maintenance and refurbishment at all of our properties.

Corporate Director of Maintenance & Capital Refurbishment

The Corporate Director of Maintenance & Capital Refurbishment will be responsible for the overall maintenance upkeep and capital refurbishment planning and execution of all NorthPointe Hospitality Management Hotels and Restaurants

.

Critical skills must include the following:

  • Licensed HVAC certification regarding chillers, heat pumps and PTAC units
  • Either current or prior General Contractor license experience
  • Plumping and electrical expertise
  • Carpentry knowledge and expertise
  • Roofing knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to plan and execute extensive capital planning projects for multiple assets
  • Ability to train and direct all maintenance field personnel at all hotels and restaurants ensuring all hotels are implementing daily, weekly, monthly and annual preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ability to work cohesively with all General Manager’s at all facilities toward optimum problem resolution and cost containment
  • Ability to present capital planning projects and on monthly, quarterly and annual to the President, CFO, Director of Operations and multiple stakeholders and ownership groups
  • Minimum of 10 years+ working with hotel and restaurant assets regarding planning and execution of extensive preventative maintenance and capital programs with annual budgets of between $3-$10 million annually
  • Ability to create, modify and distribute extensive reports and spreadsheets to corporate executives for review, comments, modifications, etc.
  • Deep understanding of cost structure, procurement and bidding processes relating to all maintenance and capital expenditures
  • Understanding of software as it relates to PM programs, Capital Planning, Forecasting, etc.
  • Must be able to teach all on-site personnel to assist in the execution of daily, monthly and annual maintenance programs and capital improvements
  • Understands and knowledgeable regarding all local, state and federal laws and regulations including OSHA and safety protocols
  • Understands the process for any necessary permitting as required by state or local ordinances

Critical job requirements are as follows:

  • Extensive travel is required. This would include being at select NPHM hotels on a monthly basis or sooner as needed.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and communication skills. Working through difficult and challenging projects through compromise and collaboration is a must.
  • Must have exceptional Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Must have exceptional analytical skills with a mindset toward strategic thinking and initiatives
  • Must be a great coach, trainer and mentor to all stakeholders
