A family-owned manufacturer with over 75 years in the manufacturing business is seeking a Manufacturing Design Specialist to join their team in St. Louis, Missouri. The ideal candidate will be able to interact effectively with customers, handle customer complaints, and negotiate effectively. They will also work collaboratively in a team environment, multitask, manage time effectively, and adhere to strict timelines. This role requires a self-starter who is proactive and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Work with customers to determine their needs and prepare quotes for new and existing products
• Create designs using 3D CAD skills, specifically AutoCAD
• Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, or Engineering departments to modify existing products or develop new products
• Support continuous improvement activities
• Attend meetings and communicate effectively with team members or customers
• Manage customer relationships and negotiate effectively

Qualifications:

• Experience preparing and proposing bids/estimates
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EPICOR
• Understanding of freight and logistics processes
• Attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks
