The Costuming Manager will support Disney Cruise Line to provide various levels of assistance with inventory including onboard inventory cycles, new program installations, liaison for vendor repairs/services, and special itineraries. This role will also act as the point of contact for shoreside terminal operations and shipping logistics/port agents. Focus on Trade Compliance functions in regard to all loading & offloading manifest process.
Responsibilities
Provide daily leadership, coaching, and mentoring to a team of direct & indirect reports, including ensuring the team receives accurate training and understands their role and how to perform it accurately.
Experience with collective bargaining agreements
Review and prepare workflow, resource needs, and action plans while ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer service standards are met
Look for areas of opportunity to improve efficiency for the organization and strive for consistent processes within Disney Live Entertainment Costuming.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and implementing standards and procedures and aligning with Company guidelines
Supervise and lead logistics used to transport products to customers and internal facilities
Partner and provide timely communication to all stakeholders
Establish a collaborative and supportive working relationship with co-workers and support staff across all levels of the organization, and across partnering teams
Proactively identify operational issues, recommend and implement strategies to resolve
Basic Qualifications
1+ years' leadership experience and/or experience in a role of higher responsibility such as Coordinator, Crew Chief, Lead, Trainer, or equivalent
Experience with logistics, supply chain management, and operations
Experience in planning, problem-solving, conflict resolution, influencing, and negotiating
Experience with maritime shipping procedures and manifests
Experience prioritizing and multitasking a variety of workflows
Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Experience delivering direct written and oral feedback
Experience with communicating with all levels of partners (written and/or verbal)
Valid drivers' license and passport
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays
This role will be required to travel periodically based on need
Preferred Qualifications
Multilingual (Spanish)
Experience working in a storage or warehouse facility
Project managing skills, including budget management
Experience using Inventory Forecasting tools (COMIT), SAP Casual Buyer, and/or Product Lifecycle Management tools (Yunique)
Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education
Advanced degree in Costuming, Logistics, or related fields
