Majority of our cases involve personal care and those cases are staffed with CNAs. We are looking for CNAs with at least two years of experience providing compassionate, in-home personal care and companionship for seniors. If you have an active CNA certificate, we can verify it online with the Virginia Board of Nursing. If you have taken CNA coursework and/or have significant experience, you may be able to qualify for personal care work by passing a competency test as administered as part of your interview process.

If you are certified in Maryland, you must be a Geriatric Nurse Aide (GNA), not a CNA, in order to be eligible for endorsement in Virginia. Maryland CNA is not equivalent to Virginia’s CNA designation. Contact the Virginia Department of Health Professions to obtain a reciprocal CNA certificate endorsement for Virginia. The process is very quick and easy and it’s free!

After the interview, the screening process takes 1-2 weeks. Because of the sensitive nature of the type of work we do, we conduct an extensive background check including national criminal history, national sex offender registry, 2 personal references, and 3 employment references. We are highly selective in who we hire.

We require that you present us with an original social security card or resident alien card as well as a driver’s license or state-issued ID card. You must also have a tuberculosis screening within the past 12 months and provide documentation. All nursing certificates will be verified immediately using the Virginia Board of Nursing online database.

We treat our people well and offer flexible work schedules. Tell us when and where you can work, and we will accommodate your schedule. Both hourly and live-in assignments are available, in all areas of Northern Virginia, as well as some rural areas.

Your pay will primarily be based on the number of years of verifiable experience as a CNA. We pay weekly and pay a $50.00 referral bonus for every person you refer to us that we place on assignment.

We will place you on assignments as close to your house as possible. Premier Plus Homecare is licensed to provide home care in the following Virginia localities: Prince William, Fairfax, Alexandria, Arlington, Manassas City, Loudoun, Stafford, and surrounding counties.
