Clinical Research Assistant II
Position Description:
Purpose
Assist in clinical research studies as part of the Community Brain Injury Research Program in the Department of Neurosurgery’s Center for Neurotrauma Research. The Brain Injury Research Program is a national and international leader of research on traumatic brain injury (TBI). The studies this Research Assistant will support will include work to improve knowledge of: how to detect, diagnose, and classify TBI; how to measure the impact of TBI on patient’s lives; patient perceptions and health disparities; and how to improve systems of care for persons with TBI. The research team collects a variety of data to support the program’s mission, including clinical neuropsychological, blood-based biomarker, and qualitative data.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Strong problem solving and attentiveness to detail required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. High degree of comfort learning and implementing computer software. Knowledge documentation and records management. Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.

Minimum Required Education: High school
Minimum Required Experience: 1 year
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Experience:
Field: Psychology, Biology, Neuroscience, Kinesiology, Exercise and Sports Science, Pre-Med
Certification: CITI training within 90 days of hire
