Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather and document business requirements: Business analysts work with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements for new or existing systems or processes. This involves eliciting information from stakeholders analyzing data and synthesizing information to create comprehensive requirements documentation.

Analyze business processes: Business analysts analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement. They use techniques such as process mapping and data analysis to identify inefficiencies bottlenecks and areas where automation can improve efficiency.

Recommend solutions: Based on their analysis of business processes and requirements business analysts recommend solutions that will improve efficiency reduce costs or improve customer satisfaction. They work with stakeholders to ensure that the solution aligns with business goals and is feasible from a technical perspective.

Manage projects: Business analysts often play a key role in project management ensuring that project goals are clearly defined deadlines are met and stakeholders are kept informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Communicate with stakeholders: Business analysts act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams ensuring that both groups understand each others needs and priorities. They communicate project status risks and issues to stakeholders and work to resolve any conflicts or concerns.

Ensure quality: Business analysts are responsible for ensuring that requirements are met and that solutions are of high quality. They work with testing teams to ensure that all requirements are tested and that defects are identified and resolved.

Position Qualifications:
10 to 14 years of experience

Required skills: AIA- Analytical Thinking

Nice to have skills: SQL, Amazon Relational DB, and ANSI SQL

Salary and Other Compensation:
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
