POSITION PURPOSE:
CSUB Antelope Valley is fully accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) which is one of the regional accrediting bodies and has several individual degree programs also accredited by their discipline specific governing bodies. The AV campus offers multiple undergraduate and graduate degrees. The campus offers tutoring services, computer lab, library services, student life, counseling, and health services.
Under the general supervision of the Dean of Antelope Valley, the Administrative Support Coordinator is the first point of contact for the Antelope Valley Center and offers support to students as well as student services personal from both the AV campus and the Bakersfield campus. The incumbent provides information to student related to degree programs, schedules advising appointments, accepts payments, and acts as a liaison with other CSUB division to assist with coordinating student events and campus visits. The Administrative Support Coordinator also provides administrative office support for the AV office and serves as confidential support to the Dean for Antelope Valley.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE – High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of recent (within seven years) administrative support experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: LIGHT WORK – involves mainly sitting, up to 25% standing or walking; lifting medium weight objects limited to 25 pounds.
