The Role

As an Account Director II - Specialized Sales Spearheading the VPN to SASE Initiative, this role is responsible to drive the overall sales development and execution of the Indirect Quota Bucket A sales. This is done by showcasing the full range of Lumen’s Cyber, Cloud, and Managed Security offerings to support the WAN Evolution of our Indirect Customer base. The successful candidate must be able to partner well with individual Account Managers and Directors who own these partner relationships and penetrate into existing accounts, along with new logo acquisition.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Drive cyber and cloud-based sales within our existing partner customer base., with a particular focus on identifying opportunities in the security space
  • Meet with Partners, participate in joint sales calls to customers and assist the Partner in closing advanced solutions sales opportunities
  • Assist Partners in broadening their product expertise and sales opportunities, striving for sales growth on the Lumen Platform
  • Develop & grow sales funnel for advanced solutions across the Lumen portfolio with Lumen Channel Partners
  • Display in-depth knowledge of the features and benefits and requirements of Lumen’s Platform capabilities with the ability to articulate to Lumen Channel Partners along with the value proposition.
  • Principal facilitator in the sales process through the Lumen internal ecosystem for advanced solution sales opportunities
  • Attend partner and/or customer meetings and partner events, as designated by management
  • Provide accurate and updated sales funnel with status on sales opportunities to meet or exceed quota requirements
  • Read all communications and maintaining a high level of knowledge on all products, programs and promotions

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • 10+ years driving Enterprise grade cloud, security, or managed services experience
  • Previous experience meeting and exceeding a monthly sales quota.
  • Understanding of the Information Technology (IT) and Security industry and competitive landscape
  • Experience demonstrating solutions and communicating how they address security principles
  • Experience working security, cloud, and managed services within the indirect channel

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
