Work Schedule: 6:00AM-2:30PM

Training will be Mon-Fri for approx 3 weeks, then schedule will be :

SUN-MON-WED-THUR-FRI // off days are Saturday and Tuesday 6:00AM-2:30PM

This position is responsible for performing administrative functions within the Warehouse Department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:
  • Effectively create load maps.
  • Perform load audits on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate the ship confirmation process with the warehouse staff.
  • Assist with receiving process.
  • Provide administrative support for the warehouse staff.
  • Provide administrative support in the label printing and sorting process.
  • Ensure all invoices, load summaries, and labels are printed, sorted and distributed appropriately, and ensure that loads are completed and accurate.
  • Create presentations, memos, letters and other documentation.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings.
  • Answer calls and direct calls to the appropriate person.
  • Sort mail, order supplies, copy and collate business materials.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Daily Teammate, vendor, and upper management communication will be required.
  • Provide timely reports to immediate supervisor.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and a willingness to learn new functions, such as Peoplenet and routing.
  • Must be comfortable in the MS Office Suite, and JDE.
  • Professional handling of confidential information.
  • Perform various duties as directed by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

A teammate in this position must:

  • Be a High School Graduate or have the equivalent.

  • Possess very strong interpersonal skills and be able to maintain positive relationships with all McLane teammates, its vendors and its customers.

  • Ability to communicate with different levels of internal/external staffing.

  • Computer software experience relating to record keeping.

  • Strong computer skills, preferred experience on JDE, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Access programs.

  • Writing of memos/outside correspondence.

  • Understanding of distribution systems.

  • Ability to utilize faxing and copying machines.
