We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Director of Design for our Transit/Traffic Engineering team. As the Director of Design, you will be responsible for leading and managing the design team to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions for our clients. You will work closely with our clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our designs meet their needs and expectations. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design team to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions for our clients.
- Work closely with our clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our designs meet their needs and expectations.
- Develop and implement Traffic Management Plans for various transit planning projects.
- Conduct Traffic Impact Analysis and provide recommendations for traffic design improvements.
- Utilize Agi32 and other software to conduct photometric analyses and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize Traffix and SimTraffic to develop traffic models and simulations to optimize traffic flow and reduce congestion.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our designs are integrated with other aspects of the project, such as civil engineering, electrical engineering, and construction management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that our designs are innovative and effective.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in traffic engineering and transit planning projects.
- Strong knowledge of Traffic Management Plans, Traffic Impact Analysis, Agi32, Traffix, and SimTraffic.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
